I am so excited for this series right now!!! This will be 6 installments of all my favorite things to do, eat, ride and drink at all 6 parks I have been to in both Disneyland and Walt Disney World. I am going to be doing 2 parks a week starting with my Home parks of Disneyland and California Adventure. Post will be on Monday and on Thursday for the next 3 weeks. I will be talking about my favorite place to eat, drink, my favorite activity and ride and also my favorite character to visit.
Starting with my all time favorite and will always be my favorite park Disneyland Anaheim. Disneyland will always be my favorite park because it is my home park and my first park I have ever been to at just 3 months old. It is a place that I will go just to get away from the craziness of life and to enjoy holidays and anniversaries and birthdays with friends and family. It is ever changing but it is a source of comfort and happiness for me.
First, my favorite place to eat in Disneyland is a split between 2 places, one for lunch and one for dinner. For lunch I love to go to Batuu and eat a Ronto-less garden wrap from Ronto Roasters, it is a vegan wrap with Impossible meat, kimchi slaw and cucumbers in a pita wrap. I am lactose intolerant so getting vegan food that tastes amazing is a great perk for me. For dinner I love to go to French Market in New Orleans Square and my go to is the Beef Stew in the bread bowl. One of my favorite snacks is the Raspberry Rose Mickey Macaron from the Jolly Holiday Cafe, so amazing!
Next, Disneyland has so many options for non-alcoholic drinks that are so yummy. Some of our favorites are Frozen Apple Juice, Dole Whip Float and the Mint Julep. But, my all time favorite drink is the Jungle Julep at Bengal BBQ. It is a tropical slush drink that is served with an orange slice and umbrella. It is pretty inexpensive and the perfect amount of sweetness.
My favorite activity of all times is sadly retired due to COVID but we would love to go see Mickey's Magical Map back by ToonTown. It was a great show that you could be in shade and be entertained with song and dance and I love Sorcerer Mickey. My other activity that we enjoy in Disneyland is when they do the Easter Egg hunt that gets us to go all around the park and we love every year to collect the new Easter Egg prizes.
One of my favorite things to do in Disneyland is ride my 2 favorite rides. I can't choose one or the other as my ultimate favorite but what I love is one is fast paced and one is slower so it's the perfect combination. They are Haunted Mansion and Big Thunder Mountain. I love both the transition of classic Haunted Mansion and the Nightmare Before Christmas version. I could just about quote the entire ride and I love looking for the Hidden Mickey in the plates as well. During Christmas time I always look for where my name is in the attic scene. Big Thunder Mountain the absolute best part to me is the Goat at the top of the hill. Has anyone done the goat trick before? It gives me butterflies every time.
Lastly, my favorite character to see in Disneyland is the Evil Queen next to the castle. She is so witty and the perfect amount of evil to make you laugh. If you wear something Snow White she is so appalled, she loves to talk about her beauty and judging people. It is an entertaining meet and greet.
Disneyland is a great park to roam around just enjoy being there. It has amazing food and always something to do whether it is busy or not. On Thursday I will be talking about all of my favorites from California Adventure before going to the East Coast parks. What are some of your favorites?
